Top 2012 Lacrosse Goals for Oregon

BHSVideoDad put together an excellent video featuring some of Oregons’ top lacrosse goals from 2012. Can the Ducks compete for a spot at the MCLA nationals again in 2013?
Oregon has been ranked the #1 seed in the PNCLL for the 2012-13 season receiving 77 vote, 6 for the #1 spot.

Now that the BCS game is over, and Bama walked away with the title, it is time to get serious about lacrosse!

Oregon Men’s Lacrosse went 12-3 during 2012, and the program made their third straight appearance in the MCLA Nationals under coach Joe Kerwin, who stepped down after the season. Seniors Spencer Robertson, Corbin Root and Matt Johnson made huge contributions to Duck’s high scoring offense during the year. Some top goals and  hits are included in the video with music by Daft Punk.

Claude Lyneis, aka BHSVideoDad, took an unreal a look back at the best from Oregon’s 2012 season, and he did it just before the new season opens! There were major departures after the 2012 season. Coach Joe Kerwin, who took the Ducks to the Nationals the last three seasons is gone. midfielder #6 Robertson is gone and so are his 40 goals. At attack, #7 Root (36 goals), and #3 Silverstein (21 Goals) are gone, and defensive stalwarts Brizie #25, Marincovich #32, and #13 Tuman also left.

Returning this season are midfielder #20, Johnson, who chipped in 28 big goals last year, attack #10 Osip, who added 34 goals and Smood #25 on defense.

New head coach Phil Keebler has set up an challenging schedule for 2013, which begins Feb 6 and includes games against Simon Fraser, Chapman, Colorado and BYU.
