MCLA D1 newbies Grand Canyon and Davenport met up this past Saturday for a shootout down in Arizona. Down 13-6 going into the fourth quarter, Grand Canyon mounted a huge comeback, outscoring Davenport 8-1 in the fourth quarter to push the game into overtime.

Davenport to Face GVSU in Rematch of 2011 Semifinal

Davenport will face a familiar foe in Grand Valley State in the Semifinals of the MCLA DII National Tournament. Not only do Davenport and GVSU meet regularly in the regular season, this will be the third consecutive year that the two face each other in the National Tournament with Davenport coming out on top in both the previous games.

PR – Davenport Drops #7 Briarcliffe; Falls to #13 SCAD

Davenport opened the weekend with a win against seventh-ranked Briarcliffe. The Panthers held off a late rally by the Bulldogs for a 8-7 win. In the second game of the weekend, Davenport came back from two down late in the third to tie the game but a late goal from SCAD gave the Bees a one goal advantage. A SCAD goal with a second left sealed the loss for the Panthers.
