Bloomington, IN. – Indiana’s second-year men’s lacrosse coach Peter Tumbas has announced the commitment of 19 student-athletes who are joining the team for the 2011-2012 season. The incoming class features athletes from nine different states, including Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, Tennessee, Virginia, Connecticut, and Texas.
The class consists of six defensemen, four attackmen, eight midfielders, and one goalie of which four are transfers.
“We are extremely excited to welcome nineteen new players and their families to Bloomington. This group represents our first real recruiting class as an MCLA program and to have players from nine different states speaks to the quality of Indiana University,” said Tumbas.
