The Elon University women’s lacrosse team has gotten much attention in its inaugural season, but there is another lacrosse team on campus making a name for itself: the men’s club lacrosse team.
The Miami Hurricanes left New Orleans with a pair of wins at the 2014 Allstate Sugar Bowl Classic, bringing their winning streak to four. The Canes were one of two teams to finish the weekend unbeaten and for the first time in the history of its program, the Canes have defeated four straight MCLA Division I opponents.
The Gamecocks headed down to the “Big Easy” to open up spring break. We had games against the University of Alabama, Houston, and Texas State. After we had a short break before heading north, to Minnesota.
Finally! After all of the snow, sleet, and cold wind, spring has made its way to Athens, Georgia. So after putting up with all of the weather issues, we were rewarded with warmth and sunshine for two rivalry match-ups with the Tigers: Auburn and Clemson.

Nonetheless, the University of Miami men’s lacrosse team, as well as teams from seven other universities will meet in the Big Easy for the fourth annual Allstate Sugar Bowl Lacrosse Classic this weekend.
This past weekend the Gamecocks headed north to battle the Hokies of Virginia Tech in Salem, Virginia. After coming off a 1-1 weekend in Tallahassee, we knew we needed to have our best week of practice yet before taking on Virginia Tech.
The Gamecocks headed south this past weekend to the Sunshine State to take on Florida State and Miami (FL). After playing through a monsoon during our first two games in Tallahassee last season, we were nervous when we saw possibilities of thunderstorms earlier in the week. Despite the unpredictability of the weather, we were confident that we would be ready after being able to have a full week of practice for the first time in several weeks.
Boy it’s good to be back in the south. After being the punching bag for UCSB and Cal Poly the previous weekend out west, the Dawgs returned home for a couple of SELC games this past weekend.
