The Davenportal: New week, new blog.

Each new week brings ups and downs, positives and negatives. This week we had the opportunity to have Coach Covert and Coach Slusher come out and share their insight. Coach Covert runs True Lacrosse Michigan, and played for the Machine while they where in Chicago. Slusher played for Wheeling Jesuit NCAA D3. With the presents of these two at practice it has helped a lot of players reach that next level of play need for spring season. Coach Covert has been working with the mid-field and face-off guys, and Coach Slusher the attack. Locker room buzz is good about the new additions.

Coach C. wanted us to attend the men’s basketball game last week. Our men’s hoop team is currently ranked 13 in the nation. Our guys ended up pulling out the W but it was a close game with lots of dunks. Nobody wants to watch layups.

As you can see its stands fill up fast for basketball games. Also the unnecessarily large panther head you get to run out of at home games.

Everyone seem to be ready to get out on the field, but due the snow we have been forced to stay inside this week.  Nobody seems to be to upset about that. I will be sure to update you on events to come. I have posted random pictures from team events and functions enjoy. ~Cheers

Clean, original, can’t wait to see the full outfit.

At Davenport University we really make academics a priority, it has raised our IQ and our popularity. Ice cream social, we had a hankering for.

–Jordy Sayers, Sr. Midfielder from Davenport University

Editor’s note: Mr. Sayers also informed us that there is a flip camera on its way to Davenport. So look forward to some videos coming out of the Davenportal soon.
