Finally, the MCLA National Championship games are nigh. Tomorrow, May 17th, four universities will play in two games to decide the National Champions of the MCLA Division I and II. The Division II game starts at noon and the Division I game will begin immediately after at 3.
Orange County has played host to many players returning home for the 2014 MCLA National Championships, but none have had bigger games than Colorado’s Jack Cranston. Cranston, from nearby Santa Margarita, Calif., led his No. 2 Buffs team to a 12-10 victory over No. 6 UC Santa Barbara in the semifinals to earn a shot at the MCLA Division I championship on Saturday.

It’s Rivalry Week here at LaxAllStars, with big NCAA Division I rivalry games between teams such as Maryland and Johns Hopkins as well as Michigan and Ohio State. Amidst snowstorms and inclement weather, the No. 2 Colorado men’s lacrosse team fell to the top-ranked Arizona State Sun Devils 8-6 Saturday, March 14. After attaining the top rank in the NCAA club lacrosse polls two weeks ago, this is the second loss the Buffs have suffered after losing to the Michigan State Spartans 11-10 on March 8.
