The No. 7 U.S. Coast Guard Academy Men’s Lacrosse team received goals from seven different players as they posted a convincing 17-7 win over No. 17 Briarcliffe College yesterday at a packed Cadet Memorial Stadium overlooking the Thames Rives.
While the PCLL Championship has since past, both winning teams were given the true championship experience with some quality Champion’s apparel thanks to ’47 Brand.
Davenport opened the weekend with a win against seventh-ranked Briarcliffe. The Panthers held off a late rally by the Bulldogs for a 8-7 win. In the second game of the weekend, Davenport came back from two down late in the third to tie the game but a late goal from SCAD gave the Bees a one goal advantage. A SCAD goal with a second left sealed the loss for the Panthers.
