The Tech men’s lacrosse team started their season in exciting fashion on the new Roe Stamps Turf Field with a close 8-9 loss to the Boston College Eagles.
I’ve been a diehard fan of the MCLA since 2000, and yet this was the first year where I actually knew when the games started. Wouldn’t it be great if the MCLA gathered up the four teams from the previous year’s Final Four, paid for them to fly out to California or Florida, put them up in hotels, and made the season opener a big deal for the league?
This Sunday, November 17th, the Northeastern University Huskies are hosting their 3rd annual Boston Autumn Classic at Parsons Field. The event is the final chapter of the fall ball season for most squads. The events will feature the Huskies as well as Boston College, the University of New Hampshire, and the University of Vermont.
Well of course they are, so is every other team. Being in a traditional hotbed for lacrosse, it’s no surprise that Boston College can put together a very talented squad of players and start off the season strong.

This Saturday, Northeastern will be hosting a must-see tournament for everyone in the greater Laxachussetts area.
While many are beginning the recovery process from Hurricane Sandy, the Boston College lacrosse team took some time away from practice to help those in need.
The Pitt Panthers took the long trip to Boston and knocked off #18 Northeastern and #12 Boston College, greatly improving their chances for an invite to the dance.
