SELC D2 – Games Of Interest – Think Palm Beach And Sailfish

All the action seems to be in Palm Beach, Florida, home of those Palm Beach Atlantic Fighting “Salifish”. Love that “SAILFISH” logo!
Fri. March 2nd: Lynchburg, VA: Reinhardt Vs, Liberty – Not a divisional game, but a good barometer for both teams. Reinhardt still has me asking “Are they for real?” A victory here would put the questions to rest. Liberty is 2-0 in their division already and seem to be on there way to at least the second place playoff spot in their division.
Fri. March 2nd: Palm Beach, FL: US Coast Guard Vs. Palm Beach Atlantic – PBAU defeated USCG 9-8 in overtime last year. USCG is the #18 nationally ranked team in the “Inside Lacrosse” coaches poll. Would be a very excellent win for those fighting Sailfish!
Sat. March 3rd: Palm Beach, FL: US Coast Guard Vs. Elon – Nationally ranked teams battle it out (USCG #18, Elon #14). It’s a definite national barometer game.
Sun. March 4th: Palm Beach, FL: St. John’s Vs. Elon – Elon and St. John’s is a first-time matchup for the two schools. St. John’s is the #5 nationally ranked team in the national coaches poll, and Elon is #14. Yet another national barometer game with big implications. How big is the gap between the Top 5 and the Top 15? Is there a gap at all? We’ll find out more soon!
Sun. March 4th: Palm Beach, FL: Grand Valley State Vs. Palm Beach Atlantic – These two teams have never met. Grand Valley State in the #5 nationally ranked team in MCLA D2. Sailfish will have their hands full with this national powerhouse, but if PBAU can win? They could make a big jump!
The “SELC D2 GAMES of INTEREST” is on spring break in Helsingborg, Sweden next week and will return in two weeks!
