Getting up close and personal here.

Despite the two week layoff, the SELC D1 Power Rankings changed very little from the last ranking on Feb. 28th.

#1 through #12 remained the same. The most notable games over the past two weeks were: #1 Clemson lost a close one to Buffalo, but that didn’t hurt their #1 position. #2 Virginia Tech solidified their position as the throttled #5 FSU in Tallahassee. FSU is still struggling.  I am looking forward to the Virginia Tech #1 Clemson game.

#3 Georgia continues to grind out close wins,8-7 division win over #9 Alabama and the Dawgs are now 3-0 in division. #11 Tennessee lost a 2 goal decision to Georgia. I love teams that win close games.

#13 through 20 had a few changes. #17 West Virginia, #14 Auburn and #16 Kentucky played some close games among themselves. For the life of me I could not figure out a “proper” ranking, sorry guys. But there are plenty of games to be played and the rankings will change again, guaranteed!
