Utah State announces its coaching staff. 

Logan, Utah – January 27, 2013 – The Utah State University Aggies have just announced their coaching staff for the 2013 season. The Aggies look forward to a great season led by head coach Jonathan Atwood who begins his 2nd season at USU.  Atwood was hired in Jan. of 2011. The Aggies did not compete as Aggies until spring 2012. In the 2011 season, the players for USU played for the Blue Devils. Atwood played 3 seasons at Utah State, finishing in 2002.  Atwood led Sky View as Head Coach for 9 seasons. While at Sky View Atwood earned the: 2x head coach of the year ‘06 and ‘07, 3x Conference champions, 3x Semifinalist, and 1 State final appearance.

The Aggies are supported by assistant head coach Kelvin Findley. Prior to his involvement at Utah State University, Coach Findlay was a varsity defensive coordinator and junior varsity head coach at Sky View High School for five years. He has enjoyed providing a positive role model for youth. His love for the game shows in his commitment to fundamentals and hard work.

Jon Raym will also be representing the Aggies as a defensive coach. Originally from Syracuse, New York, Raym played his prep ball for the Legendary hall of fame coach Tom Hall. Jon played NCAA Division 1 Lacrosse at Michigan State earning 3x All-Conference honors at the defensive position.

Offensive coach Brian Miller played lacrosse at Utah State ‘08 as the leading scorer every season for the Aggies. Miller earned the title of offensive MVP during his time at USU, and holds the records at USU for most goals, most assists and most points per game. Coach Miller has coached high school lacrosse for one year, and looks forward to his third year coaching college lacrosse. Utah State lacrosse welcomes Shane Callihan as their new strength and conditioning coach. Shane is new to Utah State, graduating from Bingham High School. A state champion swimmer, Shane holds 3 team records for Bingham and 3 high points.  Coach Callihan is committed to excellence, as a state champion swimmer. Callihan is studying sports psychology at Utah State University, and is excited about new opportunities working with the team.

Student coaching this year: at face-off  Keaton Cluff, at goal Scott Bingham, offense Matt Taylor, and defense Caleb Hull.  The Aggies also welcome back Director of Operations Caiti Jones, a sophomore at USU, and managers Hannah Davis and Amanda Barber.
