The following day the Boilers travel to Normal, IL to take on Illinois State University Redbirds to finish out their road season.

The final game of conference play, as well as the season, is a home match-up for the Boilers against the University of Illinois Fighting Illini on April 21st.

The Boilermakers selected their captain selection for the upcoming season. Cameron Kilar, Reed Kennedy, Palen Rhodes, and John Bowie were chosen by the coach and players to lead this years  Purdue squad.

Cam Kilar, (Boxford, MA) is multi-year starter, and Captain, for the Boilers close defense. He is a shut-down defender who is critically important in clearing and transition for the Boilers. After suffering an injury that side lined him last season, Cam is looking to lead the Purdue defense, who returned every starter from the previous season, to victory in the GRLC.

Reed Kennedy, (Chanhassen, MN) joined the team in Spring, 2011. After only playing a short time, Reed has emerged as an emotional, motivating leader of the Purdue team. After an inspiring first goal last season, Reed is looking to lead the Boilermakers to another GRLC conference playoff berth and a conference title.

Palen Rhodes, (Wooster, OH) is a two-year starting attackman for the Boilermakers. Palen is looking to build off his success from last year. After playing in a handful of games in 2011, Palen had a breakout 2012 season, being named GRLC 1st Team All-Conference Attack, MCLA Scholar Athlete, and MCLA Honorable Mention All-American Attack.  IN the 2012 season, Palen also led the GRLC in goals, points, and points per game.

John Bowie, (Granger, IN) is a starting midfielder and one of the top athletes for the Boilers. John missed the 2011 season pursing academic interests in chemical engineering, but made an impressive return to the Boilers in 2012.  After being one of the most consistent playmakers for Purdue last season, the young team will be looking to John to be a leader in the midfield ranks this upcoming season.
