BURNABY, BC (Feb 16, 2012) – Special and inaugural web broadcasts have been announced for upcoming games on the schedule of the Simon Fraser University Men’s Lacrosse team.

Friday, February 24 marks beginning of the inaugural web broadcast season of Laxx.TV, a new online source claiming to “change the way you follow lacrosse by providing online streaming of games, access to all news and information through its news aggregation and an intuitive way to talk about pressing issues in lacrosse.”

The inaugural webcast will be available online at Laxx.TV, showcasing the high-profile matchup between Simon Fraser, and No. 3 Colorado State.

Co-founder Will Oakley on Laxx.TV- “We are committed to giving fans more live video access to the game of lacrosse which is why we selected games in all areas of the country” says co-founder Will Oakley. Oakley continued, “We feel we have to put together a great first season with our ultimate goal of expanding to broadcast men’s and women’s lacrosse at all collegiate levels and the high school level each year. Also available online in the near future for Simon Fraser Men’s Lacrosse is an MCLA LIVE newsfeed of the matchup between SFU and Oregon State University on Sunday, February 26. Made available by MCLA.us, this newsfeed will be integrated with both team’s rosters, providing in-depth and insightful running text updates of the game. ABOUT SIMON FRASER MEN’S LACROSSE

Simon Fraser University Men’s Lacrosse will compete in its seventeenth season in 2012 and is a Division I member of the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA). The Clan have captured a record eight PNCLL Conference Titles (1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2008 and 2009) and rank sixth all-time with ten MCLA National Championship tournament appearances, placing 2nd in 1999 and playing in the 2010 MCLA Semi-Finals after reaching the Quarterfinals in 2008 and 2009.
