MCLA Job Postings and Goodbyes

With the season over, coaches are starting to make some moves. Some are to different positions and some are just to a sandy beach for some relaxation.

Missouri academic advisor Karen Mitchell resigned from her position with the Mizzou Tigers, luckily for everyone she has a blog and wrote a very quality post on her decision and experience. Definitely a must read.

Lacrosse is a great game. I thought so the first time I saw it, played at the high school level in Webster, NY. It’s drifted in and out of my life since, and for the past nine years it has been pleasantly in my life. I have been amazed at the talents and dedication of these guys. Lacrosse attracts me because of the tremendous hand-eye coordination and the endurance needed to play it. A lacrosse player is an amazing athlete. Quick hands, quick feet, sharp eyes. They make amazing throws and catches on the run. They run plays and think about strategy. They’re disciplined.

Good luck with your new adventures Karen!

Also in the market for a new head coach is Santa Clara out of California. The Broncos had another sub .500 season for the 3rd year in a row, ending at 7-10 in the WCLL D1. While former HC Gary Podesta was at the helm for 25 years, it seems to be a pretty amicable decision between both parties. Santa Clara is bringing in Bruce Meierdiercks as their interim Head Coach for the time being.
