Savannah College of Art & Design : 2013 (8 – 8)/(3 – 0)

A | The Bees boast a very tough out of conference schedule on the road. Taking on the D2 champs will be a game to watch as well as other great matches against Dayton and Indiana Tech that weekend. Palm Beach Atlantic Head Wraps by ZimaGear

A- | They are taking on tons of high quality competition in and out of conference. The schedule shows a nice mix of D1 and D2 squads. With no real threat on the road and all games in-state except two in Georgia, we had to slap on the minus.

B | Nice mix of quality competition. The three scrimmages will be a good warm up for season, which starts on the road at SCAD! We love a little conference action right away.

Georgia Southern University : 2013 (2 – 8)/(0 – 3)

C | The scrimmages in the middle of the season will be a good change of pace for helping the team to stay on track. Since we see only two out of state games, we expect a better finish than last season.

Liberty Midnight Madness by Kim Black

A | Great mix of competition in and out of conference. Four scrimmages to start the season will be huge for setting the tone. The solid mix should help push them into first because of wins against quality competition. A huge road stretch to end the season will be tiring.

2/1 – St.  Andrews (Away)
2/8 – Point (Home)+
2/15 – Clemson (Away)+
2/15 – Tennessee (Away)+
2/22 – Tenn-Chattanooga (Home)+

4/16 – Kennesaw State (Away)*
4/18 – Lindenwood-Belleville (Away)
4/19 – Missouri Baptist (Away)

From MCLA team survey
Who are your players to watch this year?
Parker Thomas | Attack | JR (SO on the field) Offensive QB averaged 5.4 points a game as a freshmen.
Ladarius Williams | Middie |JR looking to have a break out season from the midfield
Zach Kowalewski | Middie | JR his size and shooting ability will make him hard to cover
Dennis “Mylek” Graham |LSM |JR very atheltic LSM that will cause havoc all over the field

Which out of conference game on your schedule are you most excited about? Why?
MoBap and Lindenwood Bellview, mostly because it will be a long trip for the team to bond on right before the SELC tournement.

Who will be the toughest team to play in your conference this year? Why?
St Andrews or Florida Gulf Coast, neither team is losing much from last years strong squads. We split our 2 games with St Andrews in two hard faught games. TWC was knocked out of the playoffs the last 2 seasons by both of these teams.

Emory University : 2013 (6 – 4)/(3 – 1)

C | Right now, their schedule is a bit short. They only have one game out of the SELC scheduled and two games out of state. Nothing really special, but it should help boost their record from last year.

2/9 – Wofford (Away)
2/16 – UNC-Charlotte (Home)
2/21 – Missouri State (Home)
2/22 – Davidson (Home)
3/1 – Citadel (Home)
3/23 – Tennessee Wesleyan (Away)*
3/28 – Kennesaw State (Away)*
4/5 – Reinhardt (Home)*
4/17 – Emmanuel (Home)*

Reinhardt University : 2013 (6 – 4)/(2 – 2)

B- | We like this pretty extensive schedule filled with a ton of scrimmage games. Definitely a schedule to help the team improve overall. Other than the mid-season pickups, it’s a pretty basic D2 conference schedule.

2/1 – Point (Home)+
2/8 – Georgia State (Home)+
2/9 – Tenn-Chattanooga (Home)+
2/14 – Oglethorpe (Away)+
2/15 – Georgia Southern (Away)
2/22 – Valdosta State (Home)+
2/28 – SCAD (Home)
3/4 – Citadel (Away)
3/5 – Wofford (Away)
3/15 – Tennessee Wesleyan (Home)*
3/22 – St. Andrews (Away)
3/23 – Coastal Carolina (Away)
3/29 – Emmanuel (Home)*
4/2 – Young Harris (Away)+
4/5 – Emory (Away)*
4/13 – Kennesaw State (Home)*

Kennesaw State University : 2013 (3 – 11)/(2 – 2)

Kennesaw St. Lacrosse

A- | We love seeing a solid mix of quality D1 and D2 programs, in and out of conference. KSU is taking on a bunch of big name opponents – the mid-March road trip to Ohio will be very tough – but wins in key places could do big things for the team. Kennesaw is our sleeper pick for the conference.

1/25 – Valdosta State (Home)
2/1 – Alabama (Away)
2/8 – Auburn (Home)
2/23 – Missouri State (Home)
3/2 – Citadel (Home)
3/14 – Dayton (Away)
3/15 – Indiana Tech (Away)
3/16 – Miami: OH (Away)
3/28 – Emory (Home)*
4/10 – Emmanuel (Away)*
4/13 – Reinhardt (Away)*
4/16 – Tennessee Wesleyan (Home)*

Emmanuel College : 2013 (1 – 10)/(0 – 4)

B- | The lengthy schedule with tons of scrimmages should help to improve their record from last year. Scheduling all conference games at the end of season can be a real challenge.

1/25 – Point (Away)+
2/1 – Brevard (Home)+
2/8 – Oglethorpe (Home)+
2/14 – SCAD (Away)
2/16 – Palm Beach Atlantic (Away)
2/22 – Missouri State (Home)
2/23 – Davidson (Home)
2/27 – Wofford (Away)
3/6 – Lees McRae (Home)+
3/9 – Elon (Away)
3/11 – St. Edward’s (Home)
3/22 – Shorter (Home)+
3/29 – Reinhardt (Away)*
4/5 – Tennessee Wesleyan (Away)*
4/10 – Kennesaw State (Home)*
4/17 – Emory (Away)*

From the MCLA team survey
Which State(s) do the majority of your players come from?
We’re from all across North America as players hail from seven different states (Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland, South Carolina, Texas, and Virginia) and one Canadian province (British Columbia).

What are your team’s goals for the 2014 season?
Simple. Establish a standard of excellence pillared on the development of Christian men in all that we do in the classroom, in the community, and on the field.

Which out of conference game on your schedule are you most excited about? Why?
We are excited about all of our out of conference games. We’re playing one NCAA DIII opponent, three NCAA DII programs plus Missouri State and St. Edwards. It’s just a great experience to play against teams you don’t get to bump hips with on a yearly basis.

Who will be the toughest team to play in your conference this year? Why?
If you pay attention to pre-season polls, we play three of the top four teams in our conference (#1Elon, #2 PBA, and #4 SCAD). Our team motto is Proverbs 30:30: “A Lion, mightiest among beasts, turns away from nothing”. That is an everyday proposition for our student-athletes, and we keep that in mind when we schedule our opponents.
