Kenny Byers resigns as Head Coach at Kennesaw State


Just in out of Kennesaw, Georgia, some BIG BIG news on the coaching situation there. I know from all of my experience that Coach Byers put a ton of time and dedicated himself to this team – coaching the Owls to a national stage. Good luck Coach!

Kennesaw, Georgia – On October 4, 2011, Kennesaw State University head lacrosse coach Kenny Byers resigned after five seasons. During his tenure the Owls became a nationally recognized program in the MCLA and were 61-28 (68%) with two consecutive SELC playoff appearances. Byers advised, “change will benefit all parties and the program should remain successful.” In 2009 and 2011 Byers received the South Eastern Lacrosse Conference “Coach of the Year” awards, his 2010 KSU squad was awarded the Jim “Ace” Adams Award for sportsmanship and he is a member of the Georgia Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
