While Chip Kelly is on his way out of Oregon, sources announced today that Oregon would be picking up a NCAA D1 transfer from Denver for the 2013 season. Freshman Michael Marcott, a local Lincoln, Oregon native, will be playing with Oregon beginning this season.

At 5’11 and 150 pounds, he isn’t the biggest guy on the field, but he might just be the fastest and shiftiest. We were able to watch him play this past summer at the Summer Bender and he could turn on a dime. Michael was a three time All-State selection, two time US Lacrosse All-American, and became the team’s all-time points leader while at Lincoln High School. Marcott was also heavily involved in the Rhino Lacrosse programs based out of Oregon.

Big news for the Ducks for sure, will this be the push they need to make it back to the Final Four?
