UPDATED – BREAKING NEWS: Furman Cancels Season

It appears as though Furman University, a D2 MCLA team out of the SELC, has canceled their 2011 season after only 3 games.

No clue as to why, but we’ll fill you in on the details as they become available.

UPDATE: I have acquired part of an email explaining the situation to one of the teams on Furman’s schedule. It still doesnt provide any answers.

Regrettfully due to circumstances we were unable to control, we have left the SELC and will not be able to play you this weekend or this season.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience and please understand that we did everything in our power to remain in the league and play our scheduled games, but we simply are unable to.”
