BHSVideoDad: The Big Game

0 - Published May 3, 2013 by in College, Video

With the WCLL playoffs this weekend, what better way to preview the match-ups, than to showcase their last game against each other. BHSVideoDad stops by with another great highlight reel game. This time, it’s the ‘Big Game’ between Cal and Stanford from April 27th. Stanford upset the then #9 Cal Bears 15-9 to boost their own ranking to #9 and drop Cal to #13.

Stanford hosts the CAL Bears in the annual Big Game in Palo Alto.  In the last years, these games have been very close and hard fought, but Stanford unveils a strong offense from their midfield and go on to upset the number ninth ranked CAL Bears 15 to 9.  CAL and Stanford finish the regular MCLA season with identical 4-2 conference records and as a result will meet each other in the first round of the WCLL playoffs.  The Stanford Band makes a rare spring showing underlining the importance of the Big Game.

#9 Stanford will play #13 Cal this weekend in the first round of the WCLL Playoffs, with the winner going on to face the winner of the #7 Sonoma State vs. #18 Cal Poly game.
