UConn Lacrosse enters its 50th year of competition in 2014, and just in case you can’t do math, that means the program started back in 1964. UConn was an NCAA D1 varsity team for a while, but once the team was dropped, the students kept the program alive and going, and the team is currently competing as an MCLA D1 team.
UConn held its alumni game recently, and clearly got a pretty good turn out, from a number of different classes. By the gear alone you can tell some of these guys graduated in the 80s and 90s! Either that, or they are Old School aficionados. I guess that’s possible too.
UCOnn finished 2013 with a 12-2 record, and both of their losses coming at the hands of Boston College. UConn’s biggest wins came over Northeastern (twice), Virginia Tech, Clemson, and Pittsburgh. BC won the PCLL and lost to Sonoma State in the first round of the MCLA tourney.
